Process

How We Work

From the first enquiry to a sealed container. The timings below are the ones we schedule against, and a step that does not apply to your order is left out rather than padded.

Two routes through the same seven steps

A stock model in your colours
Steps 02 to 04 fall away. There is no tooling to cut and no new structure to certify, so production runs about 60 days from order confirmation. Ask for a sample first and step 03 comes back in.
A new or modified structure
All seven steps apply. Design and DFM, tooling and the accredited lab are scheduled with your quotation, because the time they take depends on what is being changed.
  1. 01

    Brief & NDA

    2 days

Tell us the target market, the price band and the standard the product has to meet. That is enough to put the right models on the table and to rule out the ones that cannot be sold where you are selling.

Drawings and specifications you send stay confidential. An NDA is signed before sampling.

  2. 02

    Product selection & DFM

    2–3 weeks

We go through the model, the drawings and the materials with you. Where the structure is new this is also where tooling is costed, and the moulds are quoted openly rather than buried in the unit price.

On a product engineered from zero, the tooling is named as yours in the contract.

  3. 03

    Sampling

    3–4 weeks

A sample is built and goes through our own laboratory first — rolling road, brake hold, harness pull — before it goes anywhere near an accredited one.

Failing a product in-house costs a sample. Failing it at SGS or Intertek costs the test fee and the schedule, which is the whole reason for having a lab on site.

  4. 04

    Testing

    2–3 weeks

Testing to the standard your market needs. Europe and the United States do not accept each other's reports, so the market decides the test rather than the other way round.

The report names the sample that was tested. Ask for that name and check it against what you are ordering, on any supplier, not only this one.

  5. 05

    Production

    25–45 days

Six stations under one roof: tube processing, welding and coating, cutting and sewing, assembly, the laboratory, then inspection and loading.

IPQC checkpoints run through the line and you get a photo update every week, rather than silence until the container is ready.

  6. 06

    Inspection

    3 days

    AQL 2.5 / 4.0, with a pre-shipment report.

If your buyer runs their own scheme — a third-party inspector, a retailer's own protocol — we work to whichever one they use.

    Documents & shipping

    5 days

Export papers, issued and checked before the container is sealed.

The container is loaded and sealed under supervision, and the loading quantity is the one on the product page, not an estimate.
